Hiro Kiosk
Type: Physical Walk-Up Terminal (Hardware) Layer: Customer-Facing Audience: End customers (walk-in users without app)
Description
Hiro Kiosk is a customer-facing physical terminal installed at the laundry outlet. It provides the same machine selection and payment capability as Hiro App, but through a touchscreen interface that requires no smartphone or app download.
Designed to serve customers who do not have the Hiro App — whether by preference, unfamiliarity with apps, or because they are first-time or infrequent visitors.
Customer Interaction Flow
1. Customer walks up to the Hiro Kiosk at the outlet
2. Selects desired machine on the touchscreen
3. System prompts for payment
4. Customer completes payment:
- Wave card (contactless tap) on the attached terminal, OR
- Scan QR code for eWallet payment
5. Machine activates instantlyPayment Terminal
- Third-party payment terminal physically attached to the Hiro Kiosk
- Accepts eWallet payments via QR code scanning
- Accepts credit and debit card payments via contactless tap/wave
- Functions as an extended terminal integrated into the kiosk hardware unit
Relationships
Hiro Kiosk only communicates directly with Hiro Platform. It has no direct connection to Hiro Link — activation commands are sent by the Platform after the Kiosk submits an order.
| Connected Product | Relationship |
|---|---|
| Hiro Platform | Only direct connection. All kiosk operations route through Platform — machine listing, payment processing, and activation |
| Hiro App | Parallel customer touchpoint — Kiosk serves walk-ins, App serves smartphone users |
